Fall 2017

Letter from the Dean

Greg SadlekWelcome back to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences! The CLASS faculty and staff hope to make your fall semester both intellectually stimulating and profitable, helping you build solid skills and credentials that will be useful not only in the workplace but also in your personal lives.

We also hope that your fall semester will be enjoyable. The college is alive with not only exciting courses taught by expert professors but also with concerts, lectures, art exhibits, plays, and dance concerts, many of which are absolutely free. Just check out the link to our Arts Calendar to find an event that suits your mood and tastes. You will also see reminders of these events as you pass through the CLASS Edge Lounge on the first floor of the Main Classroom Building.

The college experience is enriching in and of itself, but it counts for much less if you don’t graduate. So please check with an advisor regularly to make sure that you’re keeping on track with your academic degree plan. Also be aware that CSU may have resources to help you if financial problems are making it difficult for you to complete your degree. Please see the articles below on our "Crossing the Finishing Line" scholarships and the new "Dash Cash" program. And see you on campus!
