Alma Matters

Countdown to Homecoming!

Celebrate the tradition, October 18-19

Fall is the perfect time to visit your alma mater, and what better time than Homecoming? The weekend will be packed with activities and great ways to reconnect with each other and with CSU. The Distinguished Alumni Awards on Friday will honor Louis Stokes, '53, and 10 other grads for their remarkable achievements. Saturday kicks off with a 5K-10K race, alumni breakfast, mini-courses on social media and a fascinating look at TV and sports with Dwayne Bray, '88, ESPN's senior coordinating producer.

Better be hungry for the President's Luncheon, followed by desserts, fabulous music, College spotlights and family fun at the VIKEtoberfest and Music Pavilion. Cheer on student football matches, ride the Vike Trikes, watch the parade up East 18th Street and dig into the great eats at the tailgate party. Finally, don't miss Viking Madness, the spectacular kickoff to CSU basketball.

So come home to CSU. Check out the full range of fun at

It's the end of an era. Well, kind of. Rascal House has been a campus staple for over 30 years. But now, it's moving in order to make way for CSU's new Health Professions Building. Don't fret; it's just moving down the street a bit. Many of you, however, will long remember the days spent at the original location. So, tell us. What are some of your favorite memories?
