Oh Hail, Homecoming and the 50th are drawing near

Hard to believe, but in just 4 months we'll be rockin' out CSU's 50th anniversary celebration and Homecoming! From the 50th kickoff block party on Euclid Avenue to the Homecoming reunions, parade of classes and fireworks, September 19 and 20 promise a CSU celebration like no other. Here's an advance peek at all the activities planned, and get ready to rekindle friendships, learn something new, and rediscover your alma mater.

Let us help plan your reunion this fall

Organize a reunion around a favorite club, academic program or class year! While Homecoming on September 20 features reunions for the classes of 1964, 1989, 2004 and 2009, there's no need to wait. Gather up the gang to reunite on campus. We've got the space and planning support to help you experience an unforgettable reunion. Want to volunteer on your reunion committee? More than 2,000 students graduated on May 10 and are on their way. Watch this tribute to their hard work and success as we welcome them to the CSU alumni family.

Cleveland State University's fourth annual Radiance: CSU Realizing the Promise gala was its most successful yet, raising a record-setting $1 million for CSU scholarships.

"Today is a highlight of my life"

So said William E. Conway as the entire student body of Campus International School thanked him and his family for funding their terrific new playground on the CSU campus. His granddaughters came up with the idea, said Mr. Conway, founder and chairman emeritus of Fairmount Minerals, Ltd. of Chardon. Check out the playground and fun here.

This little piggy is full of thanks

Our first-ever CSU Giving Day raised more than $23,000 in just 24 hours! More than 270 donors filled their College's piggy bank with funds for scholarships, research, engaged learning and more. Alums had fun watching the minute-by-minute friendly competition on Facebook, Twitter and givingday.csuohio.edu. Thanks to all who took part.

Buy a brick and build a future

Own a piece of the old Rascal House while enjoying the new! CSU and Rascal House have teamed up to offer bricks from the old location for $100 each, with all proceeds going toward student scholarships. Alumni from as far away as Georgia have already bought theirs! Details on free pizza and more here.

Historic preservation conference examines the future of U.S. cities, June 5-7

CSU's Levin College of Urban Affairs and the Cleveland Restoration Society are convening a national conference to discuss the role of historic preservation in revitalizing America's cities. Click here for details.
